The method A Trip with Pit has been created in response to the needs specified of Pre-Junior Education when starting to learn a foreign language in pre-primary education. This material incorporates English into the classroom, forming part of the area "Languages: communication and representation".

Our communicative approach hopes that boys and girls will begin to use spoken English for communication in classroom activities, to express situations, feelings and emotions, understand simple instructions, and begin to become familiar with the sounds of the English language.

The material is flexible, motivating and attractive. It uses sequenced material which progresses little by little, encouraging the learning of new vocabulary, expressions, and linguistic structures which children are able to assimilate and are closely related to the material dealt with at this stage. It continually offers the possibility of reviewing what has already been learnt.

Finally, we would like to stress that appropriateness has always been taken into account when organizing the resources, the sequencing of the contents, the type of activities suggested, the visual aids and all the educational components.
