Peter Pan, one of the most adapted children's stories in the world, is about the Darling family, in particular, the children: Wendy, Michael and John. One night, Peter flies into the Darling nursery, in search of his shadow. After sprinkling the children with magic pixie dust, Peter flies off to Never-Never Land, with Wendy, Michael and John following behind. Once in Peter's domain, the children learn about Captain Hook, who wants to capture Peter and kill him. After rescuing the Indian princess Tiger Lily from Captain Hook, Peter must save his friends and his own "Lost Boys" from the diabolical pirate captain. This novel, where Barrie combines fantasy and adventure, appeals to both adults and children. In fact, while children can enjoy the imaginative story, adults can appreciate Peter Pan's desire to forego mature responsibilities and live in the moment.
